Each trivet is absolutely unique, not only with the wide varying shades and patterns of the olivewood, but also the painstaking hand crafting resulting in a truly one of a kind gem. The handcrafted nature of the olivewood line of products results in rustic inconsistencies from the knots  as well as maker's tool marks as unique as fingerprints. 

All olivewood has been oiled before leaving the test kitchen with BDITK’s own Walrus Oil. We recommend pairing any olivewood additions to your kitchen with a bottle of this oil and regular use to ensure longevity. The monthly maintenance can be a lot to keep up with, but the product will dry out and may even begin to show signs of damage without the proper care. Think of wood tools in your kitchen as culinary Tamagotchi, but with practical use and value.

Hand wash only. Do not soak. Disclosure - the trivet is designed with the intention of the two pieces staying connected, but works perfectly and looks great when the handmade  simplistic primitive joint disconnects.
